About
A little over 6 years ago I was overweight, lazy, unhealthy, bored, sad, and kind of just woke up and did stuff only because I had to. I wasn't always unhappy but I had a long history of unhealthy diet habits and stress since I was a kid which was eventually going to bite me in the butt. After my first pregnancy in 2003 my life turned upside down and I literally didn'’t want to go on. I had a horrible labor and delivery, gained 75lbs of fat and soon my baby blues turned into full blown post-partum depression lasting two years. Hitting rock bottom was a serious blessing in disguise for me because when it happened in August of 2005 I managed to pick myself up and make a complete turnaround! I remember it like it was yesterday. I was sitting on my patio drinking a cocktail, smoking a cigarette and just staring at my flabby body when I began to cry. It wasn't a cry you would have noticed, I was crying on the inside. It's weird but I had no tears and it didn'’t really have a whole lot to do with me being fat. What bothered me most was that I had absolutely no motivation, discipline, control, will, ambition, desire, enthusiasm, and the list goes on; I had nothing, I was weak and THAT was the problem. At the moment of this discovery and my acceptance of the fact that nothing was going to change if I just sat there wasting away I literally jumped out of my seat, and ran out the door! I wasn't sure where I was going or what I was looking for but I knew I needed serious motivation. I ended up buying several fitness magazines at a local store after ransacking the shelves like a mad woman!. The amazing stories and pictures I was finding in these magazines inspired me to finally GET IT DONE! I was lucky enough to come across an awesome workout and diet program! So long story short......within about 4 months I was in the best shape of my life! I did it by eating healthy, weight training, doing cardio, and of course I cut out the alcohol and quit smoking. Most importantly I got all of my positive qualities back! During this time I found out that I was pregnant with my second child but I knew I couldn't have a repeat of what happened the first time so I continued eating healthy and trained even harder literally until the day I went into labor. Guess what? I only gained 28lbs, my daughter was born 3 weeks early, I was in labor for only 5 hours, no epidural, and delivery was a synch! The next morning after leaving the hospital I joined a new gym and the following day I began my training for my first figure competition! 10 months later I placed 2nd in my class at the Emerald Cup in Seattle . Currently I am an NPC National Level Figure Competitor, fitness model, and most importantly I am in the business of helping people become fit and healthy which I absolutely love the most!
